Dear Partners and Friends:
God is a covenant keeping God. Deuteronomy 7:9 says, Know therefore that the Lord thy God he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. Only God can make a covenant and guarantee it. Man is limited in what he can do and keep, God has no limits to his power.
He tells us in Isaiah 55:9 and 11, 9“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. God is sold out to his word and as a result, when we pray as believers, we are confident that God hears us.
Partners and friends, do not let the world or anything else be a hindrance to your prayers. Paul says in Hebrews 12:1, “let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us”. As believers, let us take on the disposition of Jesus which is rooted in the spirit of forgiveness and love. Jesus says in Mark 11:25, “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye ought against any”: Jesus tells us in Mark 11:26 if you don’t forgive the father will not answer our prayers.
If you want your prayers answered, your spirit within needs to rest on a foundation of love. The God kind of Faith can not release itself or take off on a foundation grounded on hate or an unforgiving spirit. Your faith can’t pick up enough traction to reach heaven because your faith is not resting on a foundation of love.
An unforgiving spirit can not abide in the God kind of faith or God’s grace. It is a contradiction to God and Jesus’ nature. God and his son Jesus total being is about love and forgiveness. For example, John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, and Luke 23:34 Jesus says “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do”. If you want the prayer of faith in Mark 11:24 to work for you, it is important to develop the loving nature of God, and an unforgiving spirit like Jesus.
Jesus says in John 15:10, If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. If you want God to answer your prayer, lay a foundation of love at the bottom of your spirit man so your faith is launched from the foundation of love, the holy ghost will carry out your prayer request. Remember God is a covenant keeping God.
